News Davis Gaines Returning to Phantom, Aug. 28 in L.A. After donning the mask nearly 2000 times in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, former Phantom Davis Gaines will return to the role Aug. 28- Nov. 1 at Hollywood's Pantages Theatre.

After donning the mask nearly 2000 times in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, former Phantom Davis Gaines will return to the role Aug. 28- Nov. 1 at Hollywood's Pantages Theatre. Gaines won a Bay Area Critic's Award for Best Actor as the Phantom and was the eighth actor to take the role on Broadway, where Gaines also played the suitor Raoul. Other credits include the lead in the Washington DC Whistle Down The Wind, Cornelius in Carol Channing's Hello, Dolly!, and Camelot with Richard Burton.

Marie Danvers will continue to star as Christine with Lawrence Anderson as Raoul. Other featured cast members include Ian Jon Bourg, Chip Huddleston, Leila Martin, Larry Wayne Morbitt, Patricia Hurd, and Jennifer Dawn Stillings. At certain performances, Susan Facer will play Christine.

Tickets went onsale July 19 and are available at the Pantages box office located at 6233 Hollywood Blvd or by calling the Phantom Hotline at 213 365-3555. Prices are $27-$64.50 for previews Aug. 28-30 and $17 - $67 for regular performances.
