Deaf West Theatre Company's acclaimed production of A Streetcar Named Desire is returning for a special limited engagement. The Tennessee Williams play, directed by Deborah Lavine, reopens Sept. 21 and runs through Oct. 15.

Four of the original cast members--Susanna Spoke, Troy Kotsur, Terrylene and Bob Hiltermann- will recreate their roles as Blanche, Stanley, Stells and Mich, respectively.

When Deaf West premiered Streetcar at its new theatre in the NoHo Arts District in March of this year, the production received unanimous critical acclaim, including a "Critics Choice" (L.A. Times), a "Pick of the Week" (L.A. Weekly), a "Critics Pick" (Back Stage West) and "4 Stars" (Daily News).

The play features a cast of both deaf and hearing actors and will be presented in American Sign Language with voice interpretation for hearing members of the audience.
