Two 2017 Tony Award-winning actors will recreate their most embarrassing performances as part of the annual Let Me Try That Again concert October 15 at Feinstein’s/54 Below.

Toplining this year’s show will be Ben Platt, star of Dear Evan Hansen, and Gavin Creel, who plays Cornelius in Hello, Dolly!. Both won 2017 Tony Awards for their performances. More participating stars will be announced in the coming weeks.

Let Me Try That Again: Take 5 promises “an evening of fabulous performers sharing their most embarrassing moments onstage and then redeeming themselves by recreating that moment. At the end of the evening, the audience will vote on the star performer who most redeemed themselves through their efforts that night.”

The concert event was conceived by Steven Pasquale (Robber Bridegroom, Bridges of Madison County, Junk). “This benefit is to remind us all that we all have failed. And failed miserably; in my case in particular,” says Pasquale. “But it’s also to remind us about persistence, and focus, and moving forward. And about recognizing how important it is to not take ourselves too seriously. It will be a crazy fun night.”

The event is a fundraiser for The Performing Arts Project, a not-for-profit organization that provides theatrical training to young performers.
