Dee Dee Bridgewater's musical tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, Dear Ella, will play one performance only March 21 at the Palace Theatre in the Stamford Center for the Arts. Using music from her double Grammy Award winning CD, Dear Ella, Dee Dee Bridgewater sings the songs of the great jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald.

A jazz vocalist since 1970, Bridgewater won a 1974 Tony Award as Glinda the Good Witch in The Wiz. Other theatrical credits include leads in Sophisticated Ladies, Cosmopolitan Greetings, Black Ballad, Carmen, Cabaret and as Billie Holiday in Lady Day... for which she was Olivier Award nominated as Best Actress.
