Krall's latest album, Christmas Songs, debuted on the Billboard jazz chart last month at number one and has remained in the top spot for the last four weeks. The album includes "Let It Snow," "I'll Be Home For Christmas," "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," and "Jingle Bells," recorded with bassist John Clayton, drummer Jeff Hamilton, and their band.
A Canadian native who studied at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, Krall has been a presence on the jazz scene since the early 1990s; she burst to prominence in 1999 with the Grammy-winning When I Look in Your Eyes and has since released a string of hits.
Krall also tapes an appearance this week for the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade, to air on ABC on December 25.
