The reading is part of the Writers Guild of America, East's seventh Screenplay Reading Series. The 7:30 PM performance will also include excerpts from One of the Guys, which was penned by James Heidenry and Margaret Heidenry.
WGAE President Michael Winship will moderate the evening, which is produced by Susane Lee on behalf of the Activities Committee of the WGAE.
A wine and cheese reception will follow the readings.
Craig Shemin is a veteran television writer whose credits include episodes of "Courage the Cowardly Dog," "Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss" and the Disney Channel cartoon "Lou and Lou: Safety Patrol." He studied playwriting at Northwestern University and wrote the screenplay and lyrics for a recent RipFest movie musical, and material for several stage revues, including Empty Handed. His play The Green Room has had several NYC readings. Shemin is married to Tony-nominated actress Stephanie D'Abruzzo.
