Emily Mann, the adapter-director responsible for The Delany Sisters' Having Our Say on Broadway last season, has been huddling with Donna Summer about tailoring a Broadway vehicle to the disco diva's very specific talents. The show would be a book musical in which her catalog of song hits could be incorporated. Still to be determined: whether the plot will be fictional from the ground up or whether it would be suggested by events in Summer's own life.
Among her greatest hits: "Hot Stuff," "MacArthur Park," "On the Radio," "Protection," "He's a Rebel" and the Grammy- and Oscar-winning "Last Dance."
