News Drama Desk Nominations Announced April 28 Robert Goulet, co-starring on Broadway in La Cage Aux Folles, and Lynn Redgrave, currently in rehearsal for The Roundabout Theatre Company's production of The Constant Wife, announced the Drama Desk nominations at the New York Friars Club at 10 AM on April 28.

 A Career Achievement Award to Julie Harris for her commitment to excellence in the theater.

 To Keen Company, a Special Award for moving and enlightening audiences with plays that build upon our theatrical heritage.

 In celebration of the 50 th anniversary of the Drama Desk Awards, a Special Award to The Public Theater for its 50 years of exceptional contributions to the theater.

Those nominated will receive their official nomination certificate on May 3 at the Arte Cafe. This year's nominating committee comprises Barbara Siegel, William Wolf, Andy Buck, Michael Buckley, Christopher Byrne, Andrew Propst and Richard Ridge. On May 22 the 50th Annual Drama Desk Awards will be presented at the LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. WNET/Thirteen — the PBS station serving the tri-state area — will broadcast the awards May 29.
