Valerie Harper as Tallulah Bankhead in Looped

The Feb. 18 performance of the comedy about a late-career Tallulah Bankhead (played by Valerie Harper) will benefit the non-profit organization. Show time is 8 PM.

For tickets, priced $120, call (212) 221-7300, ext. 133, e-mail [email protected] or visit www.store.actorsfund.org.

Looped, according to press notes, "takes place in the summer of 1965, when an inebriated Tallulah stumbles into a sound studio to rerecord (or 'loop') one line of dialogue for her last movie. Given her intoxicated state, what ensues is an uproarious showdown between an uptight film editor and the outrageous legend." Rob Ruggiero directs.

Looped plays The Lyceum Theatre, 149 West 45th Street.

The Actors Fund, which was founded in 1882, is a non-profit organization that provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals. Some of the many programs The Actors Fund provides include a nursing home and assisted living care facility; senior and disabled programs; mental health services; chemical dependency services; entertainment industry assistance programs; the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative; the AIDS Initiative; and supportive housing on both coasts.
