"What do women want?"

That's the question Robert Dubac has been tackling for many months now in various stagings of his one-man play, The Male Intellect (an oxymoron?). Obviously, women -- and men -- want the show, since it enjoyed an extended run at Boston's 57 Theatre a year ago and now arrives at Albany, NY's Capital Repertory, Feb. 17-March 21, after one pay-what-you-can preview Feb. 16.

Dubac plays Bobby, a man who has been inexplicably dumped by the woman of his dreams. Why? Unable to answer the question himself, he turns to his overly masculine role-models (all played by Dubac) and the advice they've given to him over the years.

Some of these role models include:
Jean-Michel, who spouts out mindless metaphors and double talk while expounding that communication is way to a woman's heart.
Old Mr. Linger, a 123-year-old bachelor still searching for his perfect woman...a mermaid.
Fast Eddie, a slick-talking "love 'em and leave 'em" kind of guy.
