News Dulcy Rogers' I Am a Tree Puts Down Roots Off-Broadway May 25 Dulcy Rogers' solo play I Am a Tree, about a woman who discovers her unknown family, begins Off-Broadway previews May 25 at the Theatre at St. Clement's.

The production arrives in New York following a sold-old Los Angeles run. It will officially open Off-Broadway May 31 for a run through June 30. Allan Miller directs.

Here's how I Am a Tree is billed: "Thirty-something year old Claire discovers she has family members she never knew existed. Desperate to find out about the mother she barely knew, she embarks on an odyssey to find these relatives, hoping they will give her the answers she needs. But what she ends up finding is three wildly eccentric aunts, who have three very different perspectives on what her mother was like, what actually happened to her and why."

The design team includes Neil Patel (set deign) and Jason Crystal (sound design).

Rogers has appeared on "Frasier," "Wings," "The Drew Carey Show," "The Savages," "Pursuit Of Happiness," and as a writer and actress on the series "The Caroline Rhea Show."
