Classic Arts News Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra Posts Profit For Second Consecutive Year The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra posted a $30,000 budget surplus for its 2003-04 season, the Duluth News Tribune reports.
This marks the second year the orchestra: which makes its home in Duluth, Minnesota, and Superior, Wisconsin: ended the season with a profit.

Executive director Andrew Berryhill told the News that the financial stability of the company was due to improved marketing, better programming and musicianship, and less dependency on government grants.

The orchestra operates with an annual budget of $1.5 million. It will use this year's profit to shore up its endowment fund, which it tapped in previous seasons.
