News Duncan, Sheedy, Pritchard and Zorich Will Enjoy Labor Days June 28 Two readings of Tony Vellela's Labor Days will be presented June 28 at the Dramatists Guild.

The 12:30 and 4 PM readings will feature the talents of Sandy Duncan, Ally Sheedy, Molly Regan, Manuel Herrera, Lauren Pritchard, Craig De Lorenzo, Louis Zorich and Antonia Rey. Austin Pendleton directs. Labor Days, according to press notes, "interweaves the personal stories of three generations of an Italian-American family that never involve mob connections, Wiseguys or any of the other stereotypical depictions of this once-dominant immigrant ethnic part of American life. From the 1920s through the 1970s, the small town characters reflect changing times and attitudes, and like the inhabitants of Thornton Wilder's Our Town, or Chekhov's Russian villages, they influence each other in ways they could not predict. Behavior skips a generation. Ambitions replace family loyalties. Secrets poison relationships. And in the end, loss leads to growth."

The Dramatists Guild is located in Manhattan at 1501 Broadway, Suite 701.

Admission is free, and reservations are preferred. To RSVP call (212) 591-0025 or e-mail [email protected].
