Dust, the new thriller penned by Billy Goda that officially opened at Off-Broadway's Westside Theatre Dec. 4, is offering a money-back guarantee. Customers unsatisfied with the production can request a refund by mailing their tickets within two days of the performance.
Refund requests for the show, which co-stars Hunter Foster and Richard Masur, should be sent to Dust-to-Dust Limited Partnership, 311 West 43rd Street, Suite #605, New York, NY 10036.
In a statement Dust producer Roger Alan Gindi said, "Audiences love this show and the producers of Dust want to encourage more audiences to come and see for themselves. Times are hard and money is tight, but that is no reason for audiences to stay away from live theatre. We hope that our money-back-guarantee will serve as incentive for audiences to come to The Westside Theatre and experience this thrilling new play."
Dust, according to press notes, is a "power play. One man is an executive with money and a paunch. The other is an ex-con with street smarts and a minimum-wage position. One man says 'jump.' The other won't say 'how high,' but defiantly asks 'why?' What starts off as a battle of wills over who will do the dusting escalates into a war for respect, the upper hand and survival. Who will be standing when the dust settles?"
What's That Smell: The Music of Jacob Sterling, which will play its final Off-Broadway performance Dec. 28 at 8 PM at New World Stages, is now offering $5 mezzanine seats throughout the remainder of its run. The new comedy, written and performed by David Pittu (Is He Dead?, LoveMusik), co-starring Peter Bartlett (The New Century), is co-directed by Pittu and Atlantic artistic director Neil Pepe (Speed-the-Plow) with original music by Randy Redd and lyrics by Pittu.
The comedy charts the personal and professional life story of a no-talent musical comedy writer who is on the brink of fame — or perhaps infamy. Pittu is Sterling, and Bartlett is the cloying, fawning talk show host who interviews him.
