News Dykstra's The Jesus Factor Will Play Limited NY Engagement Solo theatre artist Brian Dykstra will return to the New York stage for three performances of his latest work, The Jesus Factor.

Dykstra's latest solo piece is described as an "uncensored and outrageously funny one-man tour-de-force about religious hypocrisy and power." Dykstra's Cornered & Alone and Clean Alternatives were recently presented Off-Broadway.

Margarett Perry (Cornered & Alone, Clean Alternatives) returns to direct The Jesus Factor, scheduled to play Jan. 10, 19 and 20, 2008, at the Barrow Street Theater.

As an actor, Dykstra has appeared in Rounding Third at Hartford's TheaterWorks, in Brian Park's Americana Absurdum in London and Off-Broadway in Breaking Legs, Incommunicado and Tatjana in Color. His comedy has been seen on HBO's "Def Poetry Jam" and "Chappelle’s Show." His play Clean Alternatives won the Edinburgh Festival Fringe First award in 2006.

Known for his self-described "ferocious, stinging rebukes of those who hold this nation hostage with their constant drumbeat of fear," Dykstra's cutting and candid works have found the artist labeled as an "enemy" by conservative talking head Rush Limbaugh and also landed him on several conservative watch lists, including the NRA.

Tickets, priced $25, are available by visiting www.telecharge.com or by calling (212) 239-6200. The Barrow Street Theatre is located at 27 Barrow Street in Greenwich Village. For further information visit www.BrianDykstra.net.
