Celebrating the famed composer's 75th birthday, the weekend of concerts will feature the Boston Pops under the direction of Keith Lockhart. Guest vocalists will include Broadway favorites Gregg Edelman, Marin Mazzie and Faith Prince as well as Tanglewood Music Center fellows Abby Fischer, Chris Herbert, Lawrence Jones, Charles Temkey and Chanel Wood. Show time is 8 PM.

Gregg Edelman, currently starring Off-Broadway in Flight, received Tony nominations for his performances in City of Angels, Anna Karenina, 1776 and the revival of Into the Woods. His other Broadway credits include Cats, Oliver!, Les Misérables, Anything Goes, Cabaret, Falsettos, Passion and Wonderful Town.

A three-time Tony Award nominee for her performances in Kiss Me, Kate; Ragtime; and Passion, Marin Mazzie's other theatrical credits include Into the Woods, Big River, The World Goes 'Round, the City Center Encores! production of Out of this World and Off-Broadway's The Trojan Women: A love Story, where she met husband Jason Danieley. Mazzie also starred in the London production of Kiss Me, Kate, where she earned an Olivier Award nomination for her work.

Faith Prince won a Tony Award for her performance as Adelaide in the Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls and starred Off-Broadway in the Lincoln Center production of A Man of No Importance. Her numerous Broadway credits also include Noises Off, Bells Are Ringing, James Joyce's The Dead, Little Me, The King and I, What's Wrong with This Picture?, Nick & Nora and Jerome Robbins' Broadway. Her solo recording, "Leap of Faith," was recorded live at Joe's Pub and is available from DRG Records.

Composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim has written a plethora of critically acclaimed, award-winning musicals, including A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Company, A Little Night Music, Into the Woods, Merrily We Roll Along, Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George and Passion. He also contributed lyrics to West Side Story and Gypsy, and his newest musical, Bounce, played Chicago and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. His revised productions of The Frogs and Pacific Overtures were on Broadway stages earlier this season, and the 2004 staging of Assassins won five Tonys, including one for Best Revival of a Musical. Sondheim was also celebrated at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in summer 2002 with all-star stagings of six of his musicals — Company, Sweeney, Merrily, Night Music, Sunday and Passion.
