News Eisenberg Awarded Second Annual Patrick Quinn Award Alan Eisenberg, the former executive director of Actors' Equity, has been named the second annual recipient of the Patrick Quinn Award for Distinguished Service to Actors.

The Patrick Quinn Award was established in memory of the late president of Actors' Equity. Eisenberg is being honored for his accomplishments during his tenure as executive director of Actors' Equity, the longest in the history of the 95-year-old union.

In addition to his work for Actors' Equity – in which he established one of the industry's first employer funded 401(k) programs – Eisenberg served as vice president on the boards of the Actors Fund, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Career Transition for Dancers and the Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts.

He has been a member of the Tony Administration Committee; co-chair of the Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds; and a visiting professor at the Yale School of Drama.

The Patrick Quinn Award for Distinguished Service to Actors includes an engraved Lalique crystal trophy and $1,000.

The Quinn Award, administered through Actors' Equity, is awarded by a panel of judges including Equity Councillors Judy Rice and Madeleine Fallon; Western regional vice president of Equity, Doug Carfrae; Quinn's nephew, Chris Quinn; Quinn's partner, Martin Casella; and Quinn's assistant during his tenure at Actors' Equity, Anne Fortuno.
