The NYPD and the Times Square Business Improvement District have issued a traffic alert in connection with two demonstrations that will take place simultaneously in Times Square this weekend. On Sat., Nov. 18 from 1 - 4 PM:


A demonstration protesting the Presidential election vote count in Florida will be conducted by some 400-1,000 people comprising the group Democracy.com. This group will assemble on Broadway between W. 41 St. and W. 42 St.

At the same time, a counter demonstration is planned with some 50 people assembling on Broadway and W. 45 St. The counter demonstrators will march down Broadway, ending between W. 39 St. and W. 40 St.

Vehicle and pedestrian delays are expected.
