Actor Eli Wallach will host the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts' special program of classical musical, Genius in Love. Wallach will narrate the Oct. 24, 2 PM program, which examines the real-life loves and losses of great composers like Mendelssohn, Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms and how their romances connect to the music they created.
In a career that has spanned more than fifty years, Brooklyn native Wallach appeared in projects as varied as The Diary of Anne Frank, The Rose Tattoo, Teahouse of the August Moon, "The Magnificent Seven," "Godfather III," "Captain Kangaroo" and TV's "Batman." He is married to actress Anne Jackson, and both appeared in Twice Around The Park and the recent Tennessee Williams Remembered.
Joining Wallach on Oct. 24 will be Metropolitan Opera stars baritone Terry Cook, soprano Camellia Johnson among others.
