News Emma Fielding, Joss Ackland, Ian McNeice Join Cast of U.K. Tour of The King's Speech Additional casting has been announced for The King's Speech, the premiere of David Seidler's play from which he subsequently developed his screenplay to the Oscar-winning film of the same name, that is to tour the U.K., beginning performances at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Feb. 2, 2012, then continuing to tour to Nottingham, Bath, Brighton, Richmond and Newcastle.

The previously announced Charles Edwards, who plays George VI, and Jonathan Hyde, who plays Lionel Logue, the speech therapist who helped him to conquer his debilitating stammer, are joined by Emma Fielding (Queen Elizabeth), Joss Ackland (Georg V) and Ian McNeice (Churchill).

Fielding is best known for her roles in TV's "Cranford" and "The Ghost Squad." She has been seen in the West End and on Broadway in Private Lives, winning the 2002 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in London and a Theatre World Award in New York for her performance. She has also regularly appeared onstage at the National and RSC.

Ackland, who has appeared in over 130 films in a career stretching back to 1949, created the role of Juan Peron in the orginal 1978 London production of Evita and also starred in the original London production of A Little Night Music.

McNeil is best known for playing Bert Large in TV's Doc Martin. TV credits include "Jonathan Creek" and "Doctor Who." As a member of the RSC, he appeared in their Broadway transfer of the original production of Nicholas Nickleby.

The King's Speech is directed by Adrian Noble and designed by Anthony Ward. It is proudced by Playful Productions and Michael Alden Productions.
