The very strange happenings in one very strange town make up Armonk, a series of short sketch plays, running Nov. 14-Dec. 19 at the Ensemble Studio Theatre. The company's literary manager Eileen Myers directs.
Named for a real-life town that lies on the border of New York and Connecticut, Armonk is something of a “best of” for writer Sean Sutherland, taking bits from his works including "Cheyenne Blitzkrieg" and "Misgivings," which have been seen at E.S.T., HERE and Altered Stages.
Armonk features Sutherland, Paul Bartholomew, Derrick McGinty, Heather Robinson, Sonya Rokes, Sarah Rose, Eric Scott and Kevin Shinick.
Myers recently helmed Romulus Linney's Madmen for E.S.T.'s Marathon 2000. Other credits include the sketch comedy revues Hell's Kitchen Sink, The Two Andy's Gala Reunion Spectacular and Wanna Eat This?.
Tickets are $15. The Ensemble Studio Theatre is located at 549 West 52nd Street. For reservations, call (212) 247-4982. — By Christine Ehren
