The 20th season of the Long Island company also includes Mainstage productions of the Broadway-aimed musical Enter Laughing and Christopher Durang's Betty's Summer Vacation

Hammond, a Bay Street artistic associate, is widely known for his work on "Saturday Night Live," impersonating Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Donald Trump and Sean Connery, among others. He appeared in Bay Street's Romance and Beyond Therapy. Director Ivey is the Tony Award-winning actress (Steaming, Hurlyburly) who is now spreading her wings as a respected director (Vanities).

Trip Cullman (Off-Broadway's Swimming in the Shallows, The Last Sunday in June) directs Betty's Summer Vacation, Durang's look at the public's appetite for sensationalism (seen through the frame of the world of the "summer share"), July 5-31. Opening night is July 9.

Enter Laughing: The Musical will play Aug. 9-Sept. 4. Opening is Aug. 13. Based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Carl Reiner, "the musical tells the story of an errand boy from the Bronx who makes a delivery to the Big City with dreams of making it on the Great White Way." The libretto is by the late Joseph Stein; the music and lyrics are by Stan Daniels. Stuart Ross directs, as he did for the earlier Off-Broadway production by York Theatre Company. The show was originally called So Long, 174th Street, a Broadway flop that gained a cult following after its Broadway cast album was released. There is now also an Off-Broadway cast album.
