Epstein, who has appeared in numerous productions at BTF and is currently playing Max Kellerman in the tour of Dirty Dancing, created the solo work, which features Shakespeare sonnets and the stories behind them. Show time is 2 PM in the Unicorn Theatre. "Epstein will engage the audience, working through the identities, histories, and complicated relationship of The Dark Lady and The Young Man, while providing background on Shakespeare and the Elizabethan world. This isn't your typical one-man performance; it is truly an actor's look at Shakespeare's life and writings a performance of history by an accomplished actor," said BTF artistic director Kate Maguire in a statement.
A two-time Elliot Norton Award winner, Epstein has performed in the Berkshire Theatre Festival productions of The Caretaker, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Educating Rita, Amadeus and Via Dolorosa.
