Presents Leight's Latest in Marathon, May 31-June 11 The first new work by playwright Warren Leight to reach New York City since Side Man won the Tony Award for best play in 1999, will be presented at Ensemble Studio Theatre, May 31-11. The first new work by playwright Warren Leight to reach New York City since Side Man won the Tony Award for best play in 1999, will be presented at Ensemble Studio Theatre, May 31-11. The play, The Final Interrogation of Ceausescu's Dog, is part of "Series C" of the company's annual marathon of one-acts.

Dog has two characters: an interrogator and a "wise old dog." Nikolai Ceausescu was the Communist strongman who ruled Romania with an iron fist for several decades, before being toppled and executed by the populace in 1989. Jack Hofsiss directs Alex Scott and Ean Sheely. The remainder of Marathon 2000's "Series C" includes:

Birth Marks by Leslie Caputo, starring Martin Shakar, Nicole Gomez, Ramon De Ocampo and Jenna Lamia, directed by Abigail Zealey Bess.
Cannibals by Heather Dundas, starring Miranda Black, Anna Li, Diana LaMar, Annie Meisels and Lou Carbonneau, directed by India Cooper.
Proof by Jeff Reich, starring Brad Bellamy and Forest Compton, directed by Kevin Confoy.
Alien Boy by Will Scheffer, starring David Greenspan, directed by Mark Roberts.
