Michael Cunningham ("The Hours," Flesh and Blood) penned the screenplay with Susan Minot (based on her novel) for the Hart-Sharp Entertainment production. Lajos Koltai directed the Focus Features film.

"Evening" centers on a woman (Redgrave) with terminal cancer whose children rally around her as she harkens back to memories of her youth and a romantic weekend when she met the love of her life.
