Casting is now complete for the upcoming production of Legally Blonde The Musical, which will kick off the summer 2011 season at the St. Louis Muny, the nation's oldest and largest outdoor theatre.

Directed by Marc Bruni with choreography by Rusty Mowery, performances are scheduled for June 20-26.

The cast will be headed by Lauren Ashley Zakrin as Elle Woods, Matthew Hydzik as Warner Huntington III, Sara Sheperd as Vivienne Kensington, D. B. Bonds as Emmett Forrest, Ken Land as Professor Callahan, Lisa Howard as Paulette, Tiffany Engen as Serena, Taylor Louderman as Margot, K. B. Hart as Pilar, Nikki Snelson as Brooke Wyndham, Michelle Rombola as Kate/Chutney, Lili Froehlich as District Attorney, Madeline Trumble as Enid, Stephanie Cain as Stenographer, Brené Jackson as Store Manager/Judge, Julie Probst as Mom, Colt Prattes as Grandmaster Chad/Dewey/Kyle, Robert Earl Gleason as Dad/Winthrop/Reporter, Charles Osborne as Pforzheimer, Sam Lips as Lowell/Carlos, Matthew Steffens as Padamadan/Nikos, John Riddle as Aaron, Chico as Bruiser, Nellie as Rufus and Tiffany Engen as the Dance Captain.

The ensemble includes Natasha Ashworth, Stephanie Cain, Alex DeLeo, Jordan Firstman, Lili Froehlich, Robert Earl Gleason, Cameron Hobbs, Brené Jackson, Sam Lips, Sarah Meahl, Harris Milgrim, Charles Osborne, Colt Prattes, Julie Probst, John Riddle, Michelle Rombola and Matthew Steffens.

Legally Blonde has music and lyrics by both Laurence O'Keefe (Bat Boy: The Musical; Heathers; Sarah, Plain and Tall) and Nell Benjamin (Cam Jansen; Sarah, Plain and Tall) and a book by Heather Hach (the film "Freaky Friday").

"What would you do if you were a beautiful blonde majoring in fashion and shopping, and the man you loved said you weren’t serious enough for him?" ask press notes. "Duh! Go to Harvard Law School! Elle Woods packs up her pink computer and her tastefully accessorized toy Chihuahua, and heads east to redesign some tacky ivory towers." The creative team also features musical director Charlie Alterman, production stage manager Peter Hynds, assistant stage manager Lorraine LiCavoli, sound designer Jason Krueger, lighting designer F. Mitchell Dana and scenic designer Steven Gilliam.

The remainder of the season includes Kiss Me, Kate, June 27-July 3; Disney's The Little Mermaid, July 6-14; Singin' in the Rain, July 18-24; Little Shop of Horrors, July 25-31; Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Aug. 1-7; and Bye Bye Birdie, Aug. 8-14.

This season marks Paul Blake's last as executive producer of The Muny. Mike Isaacson will succeed Blake beginning with the 2012 season at the St. Louis theatre. Blake has served as executive producer of The Muny since 1990.
