Exclusive Pics! Go Backstage at "The Daily Show" and Homecoming King With Hasan Minhaj
Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King tells the story of "New Brown America"; it chronicles Minhaj's arrival in the U.S., meeting his estranged sister, his experiences of racism and bullying, and his family's quest to achieve the American Dream.
"I'm trying to have a nuanced conversation about bigotry, acceptance, and forgiveness, even though these subjects can be embarrassing," said Minhaj in a press statement. "We all know morality and life aren't black or white...they're Drake. When it comes to racism, hopefully this show will help us have a real discussion and get our '50 Shades of Drake' on. I'll share my stories which hopefully will inspire others to share theirs."
Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King is directed by Greg Walloch. Scenic design is by Sara C. Walsh with lighting design by Sarah Lurie and costume design by Kristen Buckels. The show is produced by Mike Berkowitz and Mike Lavoie.
