Tovah Feldshuh, Broadway and film star, will host a master class entitled "An Actor's Approach to Song," the weekend of Nov. 30-Dec. 2.

Feldshuh, who has taught the class at Cornell and NYU, hopes the class will focus the skills of auditioning in order to get a job. Feldshuh said in a statement, "I believe anyone can sell a number, regardless of how well they sing. The investment in and ownership of a lyric is what communicates a song." The class, held in Manhattan, will run 20 hours over the course of the weekend and cost $400. As of Nov. 29, there is only one place remaining for the session.

Owing to the strong response for the class, Feldshuh will hold a second intensive weekend class, Jan. 18-20, 2002.

Feldshuh has been nominated for three Tony nominations, three Drama Desk Awards, four Outer Critic's Circle Awards, and a Theatre World Award, appearing in performances such as Yentl and Lend Me a Tenor.
