Tony Award nominee Fiona Shaw, who will next appear on the New York stage in Ibsen's John Gabriel Borkman at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, is set for a regular role on the popular HBO series "True Blood" beginning next season, according to

Shaw will play Marnie, a shy and secretly self-hating storefront medium who is inhabited by a powerful witch's spirit.

A Tony Award nominee for Medea and a London stage regular, Shaw is also known for playing Aunt Petunia in the "Harry Potter" films. She is currently appearing in John Gabriel Boorkman at Dublin's Abbey Theatre; the production, also starring Alan Rickman and Lindsay Duncan, will come to Brooklyn this winter.
