News Florida's TheatreWest Gets New Digs in West Palm Beach TheatreWest, which operated out of Wellington, Florida, for the past three seasons, will move to the downtown West Palm Beach cultural corridor in the near future, the troupe announced.

Artistic director Gordon McConnell was offered a space in the 400 block of Clematis Street after several meetings with DDA president Nancy Graham and other West Palm Beach city officials. The official opening date of the new space will be announced in the next few weeks.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for TheatreWest," said McConnell, in a statement.  "Clematis Street will offer us much greater visibility, and access to a broader range of community support.  We look so forward to being a part of the vital cultural life of downtown West Palm Beach."

After the final details of the move are finished, the theatre will mount its previously scheduled production of Oleanna by David Mamet.

Its popular film series, Cult Cinema: Movies That Shook the World, will also resume.
