News "Fockers" Slips to #2 at Box Office; "Phantom" Holds at #9 After three consecutive weeks in the number-one spot of the highest-grossing films, "Meet the Fockers" — starring former Funny Girl Barbra Streisand — finally met its match: a high-school basketball coach named "Coach Carter."

"Coach Carter," starring Samuel L. Jackson, brought in $23.6 million over the weekend past; "Fockers" took in $19 million, earning the sequel to "Meet the Parents" the number two position. To date, "Fockers" has grossed a staggering $230.8 million, which is already more than the original "Parents" feature earned. "Meet the Fockers," directed by Jay Roach, casts Streisand as Roz Focker with Dustin Hoffman (Bernie Focker), Ben Stiller (Greg Focker), Robert De Niro (Jack Byrnes), Blythe Danner (Dina Byrnes) and Teri Polo (Pam Byrnes). The long-awaited film of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera" brought in $3.6 million over the past weekend, once again earning the film the number-nine spot. To date, the Joel Schumacher-directed movie musical has earned $26.4 million in the U.S. "Phantom" is currently in limited release; it will open nationwide Jan. 21. The movie stars Gerard Butler in the title role with Emmy Rossum as Christine and Patrick Wilson as Raoul.

This week's top-ten list also includes "Racing Stripes," "In Good Company," "Elektra," "White Noise," "The Aviator," "Lemony Snicket" and "Ocean's Twelve."
