LOS ANGELES -- FoFo: EchoGreco, the vest-pocket spectacle that set box-office records at the Met Theatre when it played there last spring, is returning to the same venue for a fall engagement beginning Oct. 16.

FoFo is a multi-ethnic, multidisciplinary collective of actors, musicians, variety artists and visual artists devoted to what they call "a theatre of aspiration, in which a celebratory experience is created for audience and cast."

The show is a spectacle loosely based on the myth of Dionysus, Theseus and Ariadne and is intended to be a modern version of a Dionysian festival.

"This will be a slightly revised edition of the show," said artistic director T.D. Kellogg. "The content will be about 10 percent different, with several personnel changes, more emphasis on visual aspects including costuming, trimming of a protracted dance sequence, more prominence to sequences with masked actors."

Returning to perform "death-defying" aerial feats above the audience is Montana Miller in the role of Ariadne. The original production of fofo: EchoGreco was a Los Angeles Times and BackStage West critic's pick.

The Met is at l089 N. Oxford Ave. Call (323) 960-2065.
