What with Vinny Testaverde on the sidelines, the New York Jets may not be having a banner season, but at least tonight, Oct. 11, they'll have a Broadway evening. At half time for the Jets vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game at New Jersey's Giant Stadium, production numbers from Smokey Joe's Cafe, Fosse and Jekyll & Hyde will be staged. Robert Evan, a former Cincinnati Bengal and now star of J&H, will sing "This is the Moment." The Fosse ensemble will offer "Big Spender," and the guys from Smokey Joe will sing "On Broadway." (The Cafe fellows are having a long and busy day -- they're performing that same song, twice, in the Columbus Day Parade in the morning and afternoon.)
The Jets game starts at 9 PM (EST) on ABC-TV, so figure half-time to arrive an hour-to-90 minutes after that.
