Forbidden Broadway's take on The Lion King in a previous incarnation

Entitled Forbidden Broadway SVU: Special Victims Unit, the musical revue pokes fun at such Broadway shows as Wicked, Avenue Q, Movin' Out, Assassins, I Am My Own Wife, The Boy From Oz, Dracula and Bombay Dreams. An official opening date for this updated version of Gerard Alessandrini's long-running revue will be announced shortly.

The four-person cast features Jennifer Simard, Valerie Fagan, Jason Mills and David Foley, Jr.

Forbidden Broadway SVU offers performances Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:15 PM, Sundays at 3:30 and 7:30 PM with additional matinees on Saturdays at 4 PM and Wednesdays at 2:30 PM. Tickets, priced $49.50-$57, are available by calling (212) 239-6200.

Forbidden Broadway plays the Douglas Fairbanks Theatre, 432 West 42nd Street.
