News Forbidden Broadway: The Roast of Utopia to Debut June 13; Cast Announced A retrospective summer edition of Forbidden Broadway, entitled The Roast of Utopia, will debut June 13 at the 47th Street Theatre.

The newest edition of the long-running revue will feature selections from the show's 25-year history as well as new parodies of Mary Poppins, Spring Awakening and LoveMusik. The Roast of Utopia will play through Aug. 22; a brand-new edition of Forbidden Broadway will launch in the fall.

The cast will feature Jared Bradshaw, Erin Crosby, Janet Dickinson and James Donegan with David Caldwell on piano.

Created, written and co-directed by Gerard Alessandrini, the creative team also includes Phillip George (co-director), Alvin Colt (costume designer), Megan K. Halpern (set designer) and Marc Janowitz (lighting designer).

The playing schedule will be Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at 8:15 PM, Sunday at 7:30 PM with matinees Wednesday at 2:30 PM, Saturday at 4 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.
