The North American touring company of Luis Bravo's Forever Tango is scheduled to play at Mexico City's Teatro Alameda July 14-19.
Broadway's Forever Tango opened June 16, 1997 at the Walter Kerr Theatre for a limited run that was supposed to end Aug. 9, 1997; but then was extended several times before announcing an open-ended run, which now continues at the Marquis Theatre, where the show reopened Apr. 15 after closing Apr. 5 at the Walter Kerr.
The passionate tango revue features 14 dancers, one vocalist and an 11-piece on-stage orchestra.
Designing Tango are Luis Bravo (lighting), Argemira Affonso (costumes), Tom Craft (sound) and Jean-Luc Don Vito & Marian Torre (make-up).
Forever Tango will run at Mexico City's Teatro Alameda Jul. 14-16 at 8:30PM, Jul. 17-18 at 6PM & 9:30PM and Jul. 19 at 6PM. For information and tickets ($385-$165 Mexican Pesos) call Boletel at (52-5) 422-2077.
