Farr will star in the Tony-nominated Say Goodnight Gracie at the Helen Hayes Theatre Company in Nyack, NY. Show times are 8 PM on Sept. 30 and 2 and 8 PM on Oct. 1. The Rupert Holmes play, nominated for a 2003 Tony Award for Best Play, opened on Broadway in Sept. 2002 with Frank Gorshin as the late comedian.

In Say Goodnight Gracie , comedian George Burns finds himself caught in limbo, unable to enter heaven until he plays his last performance, thereby preserving his perfect record of having never missed a curtain. Beginning with Burns' poverty-stricken youth on the Lower East Side of New York City, Farr re-creates the great comedian's life, from his success in vaudeville and on the radio to his marriage to the love of his life, Gracie Allen, and her tragic death; finishing with Burns' late-in life, Academy Award winning success on the silver screen and his establishment as a 20th Century entertainment and comedy icon.

The Helen Hayes engagement is part of a lengthy national tour. For complete tour dates, visit www.saygoodnightgracie.net.

Jamie Farr's first film role was Santini in "The Blackboard Jungle." Appearances on "The Red Skelton Show" and "The Danny Kaye Show" followed, but it was his work as Corporal Klinger that brought the actor the most fame. His other screen credits include "The Greatest Story Ever Told," "Cannonball Run" and "Catch Me If You Can." Farr toured with The Will Rogers Follies and played Oscar Madison in a national tour of The Odd Couple; he made his Broadway debut in the hit revival of Guys and Dolls.

The Helen Hayes Theatre Company is located at 117 Main Street in Nyack, NY; call (845) 358-6333 for tickets. For more information, go to www.hhtco.org.
