Before it has even completed airing its first season, "Glee" creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan have signed on to tell the tale of the McKinley High’s Glee Club for two more seasons.

"Brad, Ian, Dante, the cast and I are all thrilled and honored by the overwhelming support of 'Glee' from FOX, the studio and our amazing fans,” Murphy said in a statement. "It's been a whirlwind year – from shooting the pilot to performing at the White House to the concert tour that began last week – and yet we all feel like we’ve just begun this amazing musical journey. Having time to plan ahead is wonderful, and we think our Gleeks worldwide are going to love what we’ll have in store for them in seasons two and three."

The second season of "Glee" will welcome three new cast members selected from a nationwide casting call. "Glee" boasts a roster of Broadway guest stars including Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Neil Patrick Harris, as well as Molly Shannon, Mike O’Malley and Olivia Newton-John.

The first season finale of "Glee" will air June 8 at 9 PM ET. The second season will return Tuesdays this fall in the 8-9 PM ET time slot.

Morrison (South Pacific, The Light in the Piazza) stars as Spanish teacher Will Schuester with Spring Awakening's Michele as glee club Broadway baby Rachel Berry with fellow glee club members Jenna Ushkowitz as Tina, Chris Colfer as Kurt, Kevin McHale as Artie, Cory Monteith as Finn Hudson and Amber Riley as Mercedes Jones. The ensemble cast also includes Jane Lynch as cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, Jessalyn Gilsig as Terri Schuester, Jayma Mays as teacher Emma Pillsbury, Dianna Agron as cheerleader Quinn and Mark Salling as football player Puck.

The popular franchise has spawned a live concert tour, CDs, series DVDs, sheet music and choral arrangements of the songs featured on the show.
