During the first act of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, an audience member in the orchestra suffered a diabetic attack. The play's stars, Edie Falco and Stanley Tucci, halted the scene after a fellow theatregoer called out for a physician.

Tucci approached the lip of the stage and communicated the request to the stage manager, who then called 911. The stricken woman was carried from her seat and placed on her back in the aisle as the stage curtain was rung down. Paramedics arrived about 10 minutes later.

After the paramedics left, the curtain rose again. Falco and Tucci, who had been interrupted during a particularly emotional moment in the Terrence McNally play, were given a rousing round of applause.

At the second act curtain, it was announced that the woman had recovered and was doing well.
