Playwright Michael Frayn, who had a huge hit with Copenhagen at the Duchess Theatre a year or so ago, and has a current hit with Noises Off in London (Comedy Theatre) and New York, is set to have another revival aired at the Albery Theatre in June.
Benefactors, starring Neil Pearson and directed by Jeremy Sams, will preview at the Albery beginning June 19 with an official opening set for June 25.
The play was first staged in the mid 1980's at the Vaudeville, and won an Olivier Award for Best Play before transferring to New York. It examines the relationships between two neighboring couples over a substantial period of time — 15 years.
