Producer and co-writer Rose Caiola announced Freckleface Strawberry, based on the popular children's book by actress-writer Julianne Moore, will play the MMAC Theatre (Manhattan Movement and Arts Theatre) at 248 W. 60th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and West End Avenue.

The musical about a girl who is self-conscious about her complexion previously played New World Stages. Buddy Crutchfield directs. Gail Pennington Crutchfield choreographs. Music and lyrics are by Gary Kupper, with book by Kupper and Rose Caiola.

The MMAC Theatre is billed as a new family-friendly Upper West Side theatre. It is currently presenting Pinkalicious.

Freckleface Strawberry went on hiatus at New World Stages after the April 24 performance. The final cast included Sanjaya Malakar, an "American Idol" veteran.

MMAC Theatre, a new 199-seat theatre, is steps away from Lincoln Center.
