News Free Arts and Artists Songbook Concert Celebrates Work of Jaff April 26; Pearl Sun Performs The Songbook series — presented by Arts and Artists at St. Paul's — continues April 26 in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts in Manhattan.

Hosted and produced by John Znidarsic, the free evening celebrates the work of lyricist Sophie Jaff. Show time is 6 PM.

Directed by Jessica Redish, vocalists include Pearl Sun, Doreen Montalvo, Selloane Nkhela, Miles Aubrey, Chris Critelli, Stephanie Spano and Mary MacKenzie. The singers will be backed by Joshua Mark Samuels (percussion), Paulo Coleho (guitar), Isabel Castellvi (cello), Jacqui Kerrod (harp) and Ramon de Bruyn (bass).

The evening features musical direction by Kathleen Tagg and Gillian Berkowitz.

Sophie Jaff is the bookwriter/lyricist for the children's musical A Shelter in Our Car. She is the recipient of the Frederick Loewe Foundation Grant for her musical Story of an African Farm, which was written with Rob Hartmann. Her new musical, Erika's Wall, co-written with Kathleen Tagg, will be produced by The Music Theatre Company in Chicago this July.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' Bruno Walter Auditorium is located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue and 65th Street.
