The 5 PM reading at the John Houseman Theatre will feature the talents of Fortune's Fool's Ben Bates, Avenue Q's Jordan Gelber, Twelve Angry Men's Karl Kenzler, Les Misérables' Susan Spencer, Matt and Ben's Brenda Withers and John Guerrasio. Burleigh Grimes, according to production notes, "is a darkly humorous look at the overwhelming force of American capitalism. Burleigh Grimes, a driven Wall Street financier, is a man of infinite calculation and relentless purpose. Into the sway of his pirate ways falls one George Radbourn, scion of establishment prosperity. Radbourn's father had humiliated Grimes and brought his career to a near end just as it was beginning. Grimes aims to seduce and corrupt Radbourn to get revenge upon the father and along the way ruin the son."

The John Houseman Theatre is located in Manhattan at 450 West 42nd Street. Admission is free; to make a reservation call (212) 371-6600, ext. 222.
