News Free Too Much, Too Much, Too Many Reading Features Jeff McCarthy and Suzanne Bertish Jeff McCarthy, Suzanne Bertish, Ana Reeder and Michael Chernus take part in a reading of Meghan Kennedy's Too Much, Too Much, Too Many for Page 73 Productions Oct. 1 at Manhattan Theatre Club's Creative Center.

Hal Brooks (No Child...) directs the free 7:30 PM reading. Kennedy was featured at the 2012 PlayPenn Conference. She is part of Page 73's Interstate 73 writing group that nurtures the work of early-career playwrights. The four-person cast includes McCarthy (Side Show), Bertish (Wit), Reeder (Top Girls) and Chernus (Close Up Space).

Here's how Page 73 characterizes the play: "After Rose's husband dies; she locks herself inside her room, leaving her daughter pleading with her across a closed door for nearly a year. Finally, a new Pastor arrives, hoping to help both women break their stagnant routine and open up to him. Too Much, Too Much, Too Many explores the barriers we construct around ourselves and how we might ultimately be set free."
