The King goes nuclear - in 3-D - in Atlanta's Sensurround Staging's Viva Los Alamos, a Theatrical Parody Purporting to be a Previously Unreleased Film Starring the Late, Great King of Rock and Roll, Not Licensed by or in Anyway Affiliated with His Estate, in 3-D running at the New York Fringe Festival Aug. 16-27.

The audience arrives at Viva Los Alamos expecting to see the premiere screening of a lost Elvis movie, filmed with 3-D effects so intense there seem to be actors on stage in front of them. Anything can happen in this musical parody -- and does -- as the film breaks, the sound goes out of synch, foreign language versions of the film are accidentally spliced in, and 12 songs --with scientifically accurate lyrics -- assault the viewers. Helpful ushers even hand out 3-D glasses and gum.

Deidre Broderick and Mike Katinsky created the pseudo-Elvis songs, including the inevitable and unavoidable "Duck and Cover."

Tickets are $12. For information and reservations, call (212) 420-8877 or (888)-FringeNYC. Sensurround Stagings is on the web at http://www.sensurroundstagings.com. The New York International Fringe Festival is on the web at http://www.fringenyc.org.
