Director Allyson McMackon will helm Theatre Rusticle's Now the Day Is Over at the St. Mark's Studio Theatre during the Fringe Festival. Now the Day Is Over runs Aug. 16-26, with no performances scheduled for Aug. 17, 18 , 22 or 23. Said to be sourced from Virginia Woolf's opus, "The Waves," Now the Day Is Over was developed by Theatre Rusticle and is an examination, both physical and poetic, of the pressures and emotional upheavals we face everyday. Based on the idea that the "journey home can be a terrible thing," Now the Day Is Over also portrays how this journey can lead to the reawakening of a man's heart.

Tickets are $12. The St. Mark's Studio Theatre is located at 94 St. Mark's Place at First Avenue and Avenue A on the Lower East Side. For information call (212) 420-8877.
