News Full Cast Announced for West End Run of Goodnight Mister Tom and Subsequent U.K. Tour Full casting has been announced for the West End run and subsequent U.K. tour of the Chichester Festival Theatre production of Goodnight Mister Tom, which begins performances at the Phoenix Theatre Nov. 22, prior to an official opening Nov. 27.

Following its West End run, it will embark on a U.K. tour, beginning performances Jan. 29, 2013, at Manchester's Opera House, then touring to Sunderland Empire, Milton Keynes Theatre, Brighton Theatre Royal, York Grand Opera House, Woking New Victoria Theatre, Cheltenham Everyman Theatre, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, Glasgow King's Theatre and Birmingham Alexandra.

Oliver Ford Davies will reprise his Chichester role as Mister Tom, alongside others from the original cast, including Louise Collins, Joanne Howarth, Aoife McMahon, Freya Parker, Georgina Sutton, Alan Vicary, Jonathan Warde and Emma Drysdale.  They will be joined by Elisa de Grey, Bradley Hall and Osmund Bullock.

Six young performers will alternate as Zach and William: Arthur Gledhill Franks, Jamie Goldberg and Ewan Harris will play William; Joseph Holgate, Thiago Los and William Price will play Zach.

The play is written by David Wood, from the classic novel by Michelle Magorian. Set during the dark and dangerous build up to the Second World War, it follows sad William Beech, who is evacuated to the idyllic English countryside and builds a remarkable and moving friendship with the elderly recluse Tom Oakley. All seems perfect until William is devastatingly summoned by his mother back to London.

Angus Jackson directs with choreography by Lizzi Gee and designs by Robert Innes Hopkins. The composer is Matthew Scott and puppet maker and director is Toby Olié. Lighting is by Tim Mitchell and sound is by Gregory Clarke. The Chichester Festival Theatre production is presented by Fiery Angel, The Ambassador Theatre Group, Fiery Dragons & The Children's Touring Partnership.
