News Fun Home Musical First to Hit Single-Day Box Office Benchmark at Circle in the Square Fun Home, the new Broadway musical that received 12 Tony Award nominations earlier this week, got a bump at the box office thanks to some solid awards buzz.

The intimate production that features a lesbian protagonist who comes to term with her own identity as she seeks to better understand her late father, took in $392,450 on April 28, the day the 2015 Tony Award nominations were announced.

The musical opened April 19 to strong reviews. Read them all here.

Fun Home has music by Tony Award nominee Jeanine Tesori (Caroline, Or Change; Shrek) and book and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Lisa Kron (Well).
