News Funked Up Fairy Tales to Receive World Premiere at Depot Theatre The Depot Theatre will present the world-premiere musical Funked Up Fairy Tales, written by Kirsten Childs, as part of its 35th Anniversary Season.

Directed by Jerry Dixon, the show features music, lyrics and book by Childs and runs Aug. 9-25. 

"Welcome to the world of Titania, Faireetheeya, and Magikwanda, three street-smart teenage fairies with plenty of wise-cracking attitude — and a final Fairyland Academy exam that they must pass to graduate and earn their Happy Ending Crowns," press notes state. "In the process, they turn things upside-down."

The Depot will also present Lombardi, Eric Simonson's biographical play about football coach Vince Lombardi, Aug. 30-Sept. 15.
