Directed by Neal J. Freeman, the musical will play the Brooklyn venue through Feb. 24. The cast features "Grease: You're the One That I Want" runner-up Allie Schulz and Bounce's Nicole Sterling as well as Justin Birdsong, Julie Cardia, Rebecca Cox, Zak Edwards, Matthew Gray, Jonathan Hack, Tauren Hagans, Justin Herfel, Michael Jones, KC Leiber, Matthew Oaks, Jeremy Ritz, Julia Royter, Ashley Speigel, Theis Weckesser and Jennifer Wren.

Adapted from a book-length poem, The Wild Party, press notes state, "tells the story of Queenie and Burrs, a vaudeville couple whose relationship is marked by vicious behavior and recklessness, mirroring the times in which they live. They decide to throw a party to end all parties, inviting an assortment of people living on the edge for one wild evening in their Manhattan apartment. During the long night of decadence, relationships are forged and torn apart, and one party-goer's life comes to a violent end. Will any of these revelers find the light of hope at the end of this dark night?"

In a statement director Freeman said, "I'm excited that New Yorkers will get another chance to see this amazing show. Although a Broadway version of the same source poem may have overshadowed Mr. Lippa's darkly energetic piece when it premiered at MTC in 2000, I believe that our production can bring back some of the attention that this musical so richly deserves."

The Wild Party features a book and score by Andrew Lippa, who also composed john & jen and contributed songs to the Broadway mounting of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. He is currently at work on a musical version of The Man in the Ceiling.

The creative team also includes Jeffrey Campos (musical director), Brian Swasey (choreographer), Hannah Shafran (set designer), Summer Lee Jack (costume designer), John Eckert (lighting designer) and Emily Ballou (production stage manager). Tickets, priced $14-$18, are available by visiting www.galleryplayers.com. The Gallery Players is located at 199 14th Street, between 4th and 5th Avenues in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
